Drew styles, Wayne Kirby and Installers First launch festive #VanPoolCaroloke

Monday 18th December 2017

Can you sing like a herald angel? Does your talent shine as bright as Rudolph’s nose? Tis the season to show of your singing skills with Drew Styles, Wayne Kirby and Installers First #VanpoolCaroloke to add some festive cheer to the twitter feed.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again; Gas and heating engineers are the most trusted traders in Britain. They are also one of the most highly trained, talented and scrutinised professions of all the trades, the backbone of the industry that keeps hot water running and UK homes warm.

The camaraderie within the HVAC industry plays a huge role in keeping standards high and the installer community up to date. Some may see it as just a bit of a laugh and whilst it is that too, for many, the relationships installers have with each other can make all the difference to their business success.

Here’s what Drew (aka 2017 Plumber of the Year) has to say about it;

“I think everyone needs a little light hearted fun to just make you smile and forget all the rubbish. Being self-employed can be a lonely game, Twitter has bought the sense of teamwork to so many Gas Safe Engineers.

Plus, it’s Christmas, known to some as #Kirbsmas, after Wayne Kirby- he loves Christmas, he does. So chose your favourite festive song and get involved with #VanPoolCaroloke.”

Laurah Hutchinson-Strain, Head of Media, Installers First said;

“VanPoolCaroloke offers the chance for installers to get into the Christmas spirit, it motivates the community and also provides the opportunity for installers to network with each other.

There’s an impressive network of engineers on social media and behind all of the #bantz what has been created is a community that is passionate about standardsand safety. But there are many engineers who are missing out on this valuable resource, so let’s spread the word through some festive fun;  Members of the gas and heating installer community offer an invaluable resource to each other, and the wider industry and when they’re not doing that, they’re singing in their vans’

How to get involved;

  1. Choose your favourite Christmas song and your #VanPoolCaroloke friend if you have one
  2. Film the Sing-a-long whilst remaining safe and within the law at all times.
  3. Upload to Twitter
  4. Use #VanPoolCarooke and tag @stylesplumbing and @installersfirst

Drew, Wayne and Laurah look forward to seeing your ‘Caroloke’s’ during the run up to Christmas (18th-22nd December)

Have fun and a very Merry Christmas!
